Privacy notice
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This notice explains what happens to the details you send me through this website. In short: I only use them to reply to you and, if we work together, to run your project. I never sell them or use them for marketing lists.
Who I am
Larchlight Digital is run by Laura, a sole trader based in Hampshire. I'm responsible for your details. You can contact me at hello@larchlightdigital.co.uk.
What I collect
When you use the contact form, I receive:
- your name
- your email address
- your phone number, if you choose to give it
- your message
If we go on to work together, I also keep the details needed to run your project, such as your business name, address for your domain registration, invoices and our emails.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry. You've asked me to get in touch, so I use your details to do that.
- To deliver our agreement. If you become a client, I use your details to build and look after your website and register your domain in your name.
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping business and tax records.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of trusted services to run this website and my business:
- Formspree receives contact form messages and forwards them to my email. It is based in the United States.
- Zoho Mail handles my email.
- Cloudflare hosts this website, counts visits to it, and registers domains for clients.
- GitHub stores the code for the websites I build.
They only process your details to provide their service to me.
How I use AI
I use Claude, an AI assistant made by Anthropic, to speed up website design and HTML coding. When I'm building or updating a site, I may share that site's content with Claude, such as page text and photos.
- I don't share contact form enquiries or customers' details with Claude.
- I've switched off the setting that lets Anthropic use my conversations to train its AI.
- Everything Claude produces is checked and tested by me before it goes live.
If you have questions, or you'd rather some of your content wasn't shared with Claude, email hello@larchlightdigital.co.uk and we'll agree what works for you.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries that don't lead to work are deleted within 12 months.
- Client records are kept for as long as we work together, then for as long as the law requires for tax and accounts, currently at least 5 years after the relevant tax return deadline.
Cookies and tracking
This website doesn't use cookies or advertising trackers. I use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn't use cookies and doesn't collect personal information about you. The font and images are served from this website itself.
Your rights
You can ask me to show you the details I hold about you, correct them, or delete them, unless I need to keep them by law. Just email hello@larchlightdigital.co.uk.
If you're unhappy with how I've handled your details, please tell me first so I can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint.
